dc.description.abstractThe study investigated the factors influencing the teaching of English Language in secondary schools within Buhara Sub-County, Kabale District. The study's objectives were to identify the specific challenges teachers face in effectively teaching English, examine how these challenges affect students' learning outcomes and overall English proficiency, and propose evidence-based strategies to address these challenges and enhance the teaching and learning of English in secondary schools in Buhara Sub-County. The significance of the study lies in its potential to inform various stakeholders in the education sector about the factors affecting English language teaching. Data was collected using questionnaires and interviews. The study recommends that teachers utilize relevant teaching materials and that the government provide schools with sufficient learning resources.
