Abstract
The area of Iyamuriro is endowed with the quantity of minerals in the kind of wolfram and oh mineral of which wolfram is the most abundant. Hence being mined in larger quantities than other minerals. This has influenced people from different areas to come to the area for employment opportunities and as foreign investors. Wolfram mining community still pays scant attention to environmental standards. The study aimed to assess the effect of wolfram mining on the people around the Lyamuriro mines in the Muko sub-county in the Rubanda district
