The purpose of the study was to find out the “Effect of soil erosion on crop production in Kyanamira Sub-County, Kabale District.” The study objectives were: (i) To examine the causes of soil erosion in Kyanamira Sub-County. (ii) To find out the effects of soil erosion on crop production. (iii) To suggest strategies to increase crop production. The study was conducted in three Parishes in Kyanamira Sub-County. A total sample of 114 out of 225 targeted populations was selected to participate in the study. The targeted population were family heads (75) Chairpersons L.C. I. (36 Chairperson), Chairperson L.C. The data collected the necessary data about the subject. The data collected was analyzed by using both quantitative and qualitative and be presented in tables, frequencies, and percentages. The findings of the study revealed that; there were causes of soil erosion; there were effects of soil erosion on crop production. There were strategies to increase crop productivity. The researcher recommended that: (i) Average rainfall should be reliable in Agricultural areas. (ii) Better methods of farming should be applied in Agricultural areas such as contour plowing, mulching, and land fallowing. Human activities should be reduced in agricultural areas such as bricklaying, overgrazing, and over-cultivating. Destruction of natural vegetation should be reduced in Agricultural areas. Farmers should be able to use better Agricultural chemicals relevant to crops such as fertilizers, local manure, and pesticides. Irrigation should be applied in agricultural areas, particularly in the dry season. Areas for further studies will be “The effect of land reclamation in wetlands on crop production.”
