Kabale University has manifested a rise in innovation across a 360 degree spectrum as a result of this threefold mandate. The University Management plays a fundamental role in ensuring that the University continues to grow in terms of staff numbers, research and publications, and community engagement. In the report it is revealed that Kabale University staff and students engage in activities designed to bridge gaps in the industry and backstop the existing problems in society. Furthermore, the report emphasizes Kabale University’s concept of being a university without walls through its wide embrace of society. The University’s growing staff and student numbers are presented as indicators of its progress. It is evident from the report that the number of publications and research is increasing. There is an increase in the number of students participating in national and international activities. In a large part, the Council served during a period during which the world was grappling with the problem of Covid-19. There are some challenges that are mentioned in the report that are caused by this pandemic. We may not know the full extent of the pandemic’s long-term effects even now. Furthermore, this report highlights the university’s limited finances and infrastructure as a significant setback. Considering the university’s current growth trajectory, it is highly commendable. The government of Uganda should be commended for its support of the university and the University Council and Management for their strategic leadership.
