Item Open Access Academic Calendar for Academic Year (AY) 2022/2023(Kabale University, 2023) Kabale UniversityThere are three groups: Postgraduate Students (both Fresh and continuing), Undergraduate Continuing Students and Undergraduate Freshers A full AY 2022-2023 for Second-year Continuing Students is taken care of, and it stretches over thirty-four (34) weeks, running from 20th August 2022 to 27th May 2023. The Directorate of Graduate Training will assist you to be a Thinker, Innovator, Leader and Communicator who is Future-ReadyItem Open Access Report on Visitation by National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) Inspection of Health Sciences Finalists and E-Learning (ODEL) Readiness(Kabale University, 2020) Kabale UniversityNational Council for Higher Education visited the University purposely for inspection of two things; readiness for re-opening for finalists of health sciences in the medical school and e-learning preparedness. This visitation occurred as a response to the request by the Vice Chancellor in her letter dated 23rd September 2020 to NCHE to come for inspection and clearance for students’ teaching and learning. In the same meeting, Kabale University School of Medicine (KABSOM) and e-learning Team gave presentations on COVID -19 preparedness and ODeL Model readiness respectively. Here is yet another collection of interesting news about the University. It is with great pleasure that we feature the Kagonyera family in this 7th issue. No doubt, this family has had a significant impact on the development of the Kigezi region as well as the professional landscape of Uganda. The university community, largely made up of staff, remains the major driving force behind campus and off-campus activities. It is important not to forget the other stakeholders that keep KAB's spirit alive in the community, such as our alumni. The day-to-day life around the university campus is also dominated by student activities. We hope you will enjoy this collection of stories. Our goal is to see greater growth in the amount of contributions they make to the newsletter. My sincere appreciation goes to the indefatigable team in the Communication, Branding, and Marketing Department who keeps track of the activities and document many of them. Not only are we delighted that the KAB newsletter brings the University close to you, but we are also delighted to note that it provides you with an opportunity to learn about recent developments at your University. As you read this newsletter, you will learn about the University staff that guide our students during their training at Kabale University. As well, we are pleased to observe that the University’s Governing Council and Top Management have been vigilant in steering the University in a progressive strategic direction. This is done through a variety of research, teaching, and learning activities. As stewards, it is our intention and commitment to continue guiding the institution towards higher accomplishments in the future. Moreover, we believe that by sharing information through this newsletter, our website, and other electronic and offline channels, we can provide accountability to you, our stakeholders. As a result of this newsletter, we are also growing our database of local knowledge so that we can make use of it in the future.
