The study was guide by three objectives namely: to find out the roles of libraries in tertiary institutions and to suggest possible solutions. Chapter one contains background of the study, statement of the problem, purpose of the study and definition of operational terms. Chapter two reviewed the literature that was carried out by previous authors in relation to the study. The researcher used three data collection instruments to acquire information from respondents namely: questionnaires, interview guide and observation. The collected data was edited, recorded, analyzed using excel, a Microsoft statistical package. The results are presented using tables and graphs. A total sample of fifty (50) respondents was considered for the study which included six (6) staff members of St. John Bosco primary teachers college and forty four (44) students. The researcher used both simple and purposive sampling in identifying the study sample. Chapter four discussed the findings of the study.
