The objectives of the study were; to assess the activities aimed at community development in the Southern Division of Kabale Municipality, to identify the extent to which factors affecting the effectiveness of Non Governmental Organizations' social service delivery of Red Cross Society in Kabale District and to find the out the ways how organizational problems influence sustainability of NGOs on social service delivery of Red Cross Society in Kabale district and to Suggest the strategies that can be put in place to enhance the sustainability of NGO’s for effective social service delivery. The Case study research design was employed using both quantitative and qualitative research techniques taking the Red Cross Society, Kabale as a case study. The study was carried out mainly using the quantitative approach of research. This helped the researcher to collect in-depth data regarding the research study. The study considered a target population of 120 respondents and a sample of 60 respondents was considered, sampling techniques used were simple random sampling and purposive sampling techniques were used. The findings of the study Impact of NGOs on Service Delivery in Red Cross Society on activities aimed at Community Development of NGOs in the Southern Division of Kabale Municipality The study mentioned the provision of health services, advocacy, and empowerment of the people, protection of the environment, sensitization of people and training of people and students. The study also looks at the ways in which NGOs have impacted community development in the study area and they include reduced illiteracy, reduced health problems, sanitation, environmental management, development of Infrastructure, technical assistance, and empowered population. On challenges faced by NGOs in the study area the study mentioned a barrage of laws, poor governance, unsuccessful projects, cultural dorms, and beliefs, lack of enough finance, and staffing the study also Suggested possible strategies for challenges faced by the nongovernmental organizations on service delivery as provisional of equal relationships between donors NGO, funding of the NGO, employment of trained and strong staff and provision of good governance. It concludes with recommendations like environmental protection should be ensured in the study area as it has backward and forward linkages with development like boosting agriculture and improving health conditions, ensuring the health of the population is the basement for development.
