The study was guided by three objectives which were: to find out the role of Social Workers in addressing the health disparities among marginalized populations, to determine the challenges faced by social workers in addressing the health disparities among marginalized populations, to suggest possible measures to the challenges faced by social workers in addressing the health disparities among marginalized population. A targeted population of 44 respondents was considered for the study. Both simple random and purposive sampling techniques were used in identifying the study sample size. The methods that were used in data collection included questionnaires, observation, and interviews. Data collected was edited, coded, entered into the computer, and analyzed with Excel, a Microsoft statistical package, the results were presented in tables. Based on the results from the study, 100% of the respondents agreed that there are some roles of Social Workers in addressing the health disparities among the marginalized population and these included social workers have a vital role in the need analysis, implementation and manage the project, social workers analyze the needs of the community with the help of community members and priorities they, the major role of the social worker in the community development begins with the organizing community on various social issues, social workers widen the betterment of individual, group, and community, social workers helps to improve tolerance among all and it leads into community development, social workers facilitate various benefits/projects provided by the government and NGOs. The study findings further revealed the challenges faced by social workers in addressing the health disparities among marginalized populations include; lack of training, unpredictable Lifestyle, physical distance between the client, difficulty dealing with complicated groups, difficulty in meeting community needs, small communities clients are often worried about having their car identified outside of a social workers or therapist’s office.
