    The Relationship between Records Management and Service Delivery in Research: Acase Study of Kabwohe Joint Research Centre.

    The researcher carried out the study on the relationship between records management and service delivery in research centers on kabwohe Joint research Centre. The researcher aimed at identifying the relationship between records management and service delivery in research at Kabwohe Joint research Centre. The researcher also wanted to identify the challenges faced in attempt to keep and manage records in Kabwohe Joint research Centre. The target population of the study composed of 50 respondents and these include; administrative staff records staff and clients. The methods used to collect were; Interview method, Questionnaire, observation, documentation of findings, conclusion and suggested recommendations to assist on the performance of the staff and promote service delivery. The study revealed that records management has improved the standards of living of the people of Sheema through enhancing decision-making, increasing efficiency and productivity reorganizing records as Centre resource and ensuring good accountability of the organizational available resources. The study revealed that KJRC encountered many challenges in attempt to keep an manage records which include disasters, improper filling, lack of confidentiality and lack of enough office space The study also suggested several measures challenges faced in attempt to keep and manage records and these included; training, drawing up records management strategy and undertaking a functional analysis. The study also raised several recommendations that would assist in improving records management systems and as well as promoting service delivery at Kabwohe Joint Research Centre.
